If you’re in Indonesia, be sure to tune in to RCTI TV’s “Satria Garuda BIMA-X” because flumpool will be providing the ending theme song of the series!

“Satria Garuda BIMA-X” sees close collaboration between RCTI TV and ISHIMORI Production, a production company that developed Japan’s famous Kamen Rider. The first season, “Satria Garuda BIMA” was shown in Indonesia back in June last year and became a popular phenomenon in country. This year, the show is back with a sequel titled “Satria Garuda BIMA-X” and is set to air on the same channel again from the 14th of September onwards.

VAMPS Premieres New Song Onstage and Online

16515-hw409g6f37

The jolly roger is a flag which signals that pirates are about to attack. And as of yesterday, June 06, “THE JOLLY ROGER” would also be known as VAMPS’ proclamation that they are taking their quest for international success to even greater heights.

The song was performed live for the first time at the “VAMPS LIVE 2014: LONDON PRE-LIVE” which happened yesterday at ZEPP TOKYO. Not long after, online streaming of the song has become available via Spinefarm Record’s soundcloud account.

If the song sounds familiar, that’s because part of it has been used in the Nissan X-Trail commercial which aired in Japan from January of this year. Back then it was credited as “World’s End”.

No word yet if “THE JOLLY ROGER” would have a physical release. It will be available though for digital distribution on the following dates and countries:

June 09: United Kingdom
June 10: USA / Mexico / Canada / Spain / France
June 11: Japan
June 13: Germany
And just in case you are curious about Spinefarm Records which released the song online: Spinefarm Records is a part of the Universal Music Group. It functions as an independent business unit focusing on heavy metal artists. Artists in their roster include rock heavyweights Children of Bodom, Nightwish and Rammstein. The label also handles in the UK the careers of visual kei bands D’espairsRay and MUCC.

Here’s the link to the song on soundcloud.

Don’t forget also that if you’re in the UK, you can catch VAMPS live at the Pepsi Max Stage of Download Festival this June 14.

Lolita 23q’s Soshi and Ryuto are Back in the Scene

16102-szdlaov22d

Even though Visual Kei band Lolita23q went on indefinite hiatus in 2012 we have great news for fans of the band’s members ryuto and soshi: They have just formed new bands!

Vocalist soshi decided to form a band together with Visual Kei artists you might know. You can already check out the band’s website but right now there isn’t much information on it. You’ll find the members twitter accounts and information on the band’s first live we will report on later in this article. This is the line-up of soshi’s new band “ALDEBARAN”:

Vocalist: soshi (ex-watashime slug, lolita23q)
Guitar: toshi (ex-Purple Days)
Bass: chiharu (ex-baphomet (as mike))
Drums: MASATO (ex-phase faith (support), CELL)

And now, let’s take a look at guitarist ryuto’s band! It is named “the LOTUS” and this is the band’s website! The members are rather unknown – until now we don’t know any former band of the other members. But maybe you do? Check out the picture above and the names of the bandmembers:

Vocal: ray
Guitar: ryuto (ex-lolita23q)
Guitar: rian
Bass: tsubasa
Drums: iori

But those bands haven’t only revealed their line-up but also the day for their first live! If you’re in Japan this June and like both members there’s a day you should mark in your calendars: June 23rd. Both bands will hold their first live “scratch moments” together at TSUTAYA O-West that day.
Speaking of their band activities, different from ALDEBARAN the LOTUS has already announced to release its first mini album “causality” that will be released on June 4th through ZEAL LINK. This is the track list for the mini album:

01.D’zer
02.CRAZY SHADOW
03.modern horror
04.tenshi no namida ~selfless love~
05.hyakushokukanon
06.LUCIS

And you can already listen to previews:

With ryuto and soshi being in new bands all members of Lolita23q who were part of the band when it went on indefinite hiatus are active with new formal projects. Guitarist Yu≠ki and drummer BAN formed their new band “LOUD GRAPE” last September and will release their first single in May and bassist Ryosuke is quite active with his project “WING WORKS” since January 2013.

But what actually happened to those members of Lolita23q who departed from the band before 2010? It’s harder to find out what they’re currently doing but here are some hints: Guitarist Megumi who left in 2005 is part of “NUMBER ST@R”, a band that is currently on hiatus.
We know a little bit more about what vocalist Sou did after his departure in 2009: From 2010 to 2011 he was part of Visual Kei band “Remming” we also reported on in 2011. After Remming went on hiatus – or actually disbanded since one of its four members joined “Moran”, one formed “Chanty” and one retired – Sou tried something new and worked as host in a club in Tokyo in the beginning of 2013. It’s not clear if he still does but anyway, it seems like he’s not working as musician anymore – at least at the moment.
