Namie Amuro Reveals Covers & Track List For Upcoming Ballad Best Of Album

Namie Amuro will be releasing a ballad best of album titled “Ballada” on June 4. The track list and covers for the album have been released today.

The upcoming album will include 16 songs that fans voted for. Included will be the songs “CAN YOU CELEBRATE?” and “SWEET 19 BLUES“, both of which will have new vocals recorded specifically for the album. A ballad version of one of her more recent song “Contrail” will also be included.

“Ballada” will be released in 3 different version. A CD Only, CD+DVD and CD+Blu Ray version will all be available.

The DVD and Blu Ray disc for the album will come with a slew of music videos, 4 of which will be brand new. “Four Seasons” and “HiwAWArl” will get music videos for the first time, while “CAN YOU CELEBRATE?” and “SWEET 19 BLUES” will get updated music videos.

Tomomi Itano Announces First Studio Album

Former AKB48 member Tomomi Itano announced that she will be releasing her first studio album on July 2, which will be accompanied by a nationwide tour.

On April 5, Itano held a long-delayed event at the Tokyo Dome City LaQua Garden Stage to commemorate the release of her first single “little“. It was during the event that the singer revealed her intention to release an album.

Itano plans on including 15 songs on her debut album. The type of music being recorded is still in development.

“I’m trying out various things, so please look forward to it!,” she told the crowd of 2,000.

In addition to talking about the album, Itano discussed her first single “little”, explaining some of the meaning behind it.

“I wrote [little] as a support song for myself after graduating from AKB48. The lyrics show two sides of myself: the side I show to the world, and the side I keep inside and don’t show anyone,” she said.

6 Artists that going to perform for ‘Mezamashi TV’ theme song

Fuji TV’s information programs ‘Mezamashi TV’ (Monday – Friday, 5:25 am – 8:00 am) and ‘Mezamashi Doyoubi’ (Saturday, 6:00 am – 8:30 am) will be undergoing renewal starting with its April broadcasts.

Until now, one artist has been in charge of the theme song throughout the year. This will change starting in April as one artist will be in charge of the theme song one day out of the week. There will be 6 participating artists who are SEKAI NO OWARI, flumpool, Nishino Kana, JUJU, Funky Kato, and Yusuke.

Additionally, each artist will be assigned a “daily color” which matches their theme song. The color will be used on the set and the CG of the program.

The new theme songs will be revealed during the week of March 31st to April 5th. The daily theme songs and colors can be seen below.

 

Monday – flumpool “Ashita e no Sanka” = orange red
Tuesday – Nishino Kana “Darling” = rose pink
Wednesday – Funky Kato “FLY” = blue
Thursday – SEKAI NO OWARI “PLAY = white

GACKT made a surprise appearance at graduation ceremony in Tokushima

As we all know, GACKT caused some commotion by making an unexpected guerilla appearance in Shibuya on Valentine’s Day. This time, he made a surprise appearance at a middle school graduation ceremony in Naruto, Tokushima. He appeared and disappeared just like the wind.

A letter from a boy from the graduating class was the reason behind this appearance.

“Will you come to our graduation ceremony? I want to tell you in person that I was able to develop a “sense of gratitude” because of you. (omitted section) I will be waiting for you on graduation day. I will be waiting until the day I can thank you in person.”

The young boy was said to be violent at times and to not have any sense of gratitude or comradery. However, through GACKT’s words and a chance meeting with him, he was able to make friends and smile with them.

GACKT decided to carry out this wish and headed to Tokushima to surprise the boy. GACKT has lived by the motto “Push your back”. He performed an original song titled “NO NI SAKU HANA NO YONI (like a flower that blossoms in a field)”, exchanged hugs, and disappeared like the wind.

The event was aired on Niconico movie and got 34,000 plays, regardless of the fact that it was on at 9:00am on a weekday.

“Fool Cool Rock” One Ok Rock Documentary Film

It was already revealed that One Ok Rock will release a documentary film covering their World Tour last year. The movie intimately covers lasts years Asian and European legs of their aptly titled world tour, “Who are you?? Who are we??”

Spanning over a month a half, the movie follows the footsteps of the group though 12 shows in 11 countries; France, Germany, England, Netherlands, Hong Kong, Korea, Thai, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Taiwan.
