Even though Visual Kei band Lolita23q went on indefinite hiatus in 2012 we have great news for fans of the band’s members ryuto and soshi: They have just formed new bands!

Vocalist soshi decided to form a band together with Visual Kei artists you might know. You can already check out the band’s website but right now there isn’t much information on it. You’ll find the members twitter accounts and information on the band’s first live we will report on later in this article. This is the line-up of soshi’s new band “ALDEBARAN”:

Vocalist: soshi (ex-watashime slug, lolita23q)
Guitar: toshi (ex-Purple Days)
Bass: chiharu (ex-baphomet (as mike))
Drums: MASATO (ex-phase faith (support), CELL)

And now, let’s take a look at guitarist ryuto’s band! It is named “the LOTUS” and this is the band’s website! The members are rather unknown – until now we don’t know any former band of the other members. But maybe you do? Check out the picture above and the names of the bandmembers:

Vocal: ray
Guitar: ryuto (ex-lolita23q)
Guitar: rian
Bass: tsubasa
Drums: iori

But those bands haven’t only revealed their line-up but also the day for their first live! If you’re in Japan this June and like both members there’s a day you should mark in your calendars: June 23rd. Both bands will hold their first live “scratch moments” together at TSUTAYA O-West that day.
Speaking of their band activities, different from ALDEBARAN the LOTUS has already announced to release its first mini album “causality” that will be released on June 4th through ZEAL LINK. This is the track list for the mini album:

01.D’zer
02.CRAZY SHADOW
03.modern horror
04.tenshi no namida ~selfless love~
05.hyakushokukanon
06.LUCIS

And you can already listen to previews:

With ryuto and soshi being in new bands all members of Lolita23q who were part of the band when it went on indefinite hiatus are active with new formal projects. Guitarist Yu≠ki and drummer BAN formed their new band “LOUD GRAPE” last September and will release their first single in May and bassist Ryosuke is quite active with his project “WING WORKS” since January 2013.

But what actually happened to those members of Lolita23q who departed from the band before 2010? It’s harder to find out what they’re currently doing but here are some hints: Guitarist Megumi who left in 2005 is part of “NUMBER ST@R”, a band that is currently on hiatus.
We know a little bit more about what vocalist Sou did after his departure in 2009: From 2010 to 2011 he was part of Visual Kei band “Remming” we also reported on in 2011. After Remming went on hiatus – or actually disbanded since one of its four members joined “Moran”, one formed “Chanty” and one retired – Sou tried something new and worked as host in a club in Tokyo in the beginning of 2013. It’s not clear if he still does but anyway, it seems like he’s not working as musician anymore – at least at the moment.
